Best of the Best Awards 2018

On Friday 9 March the annual ‘Best of the Best’ School Catering Awards took place at Crewe Alexandra Football Club, celebrating the fantastic achievements of our Cheshire East Catering staff. This year it was great to see everyone make a huge effort for our ‘festival’ theme – let’s just say the outfits did not disappoint!!
In total, staff were awarded across 14 different categories and offered us the opportunity to say a big thank you to the work of our Cheshire East catering team, uniting our kitchen staff, suppliers and in-house support team who ensure we continue to deliver a nutritious and efficient service across our schools.
A huge well done to every nominee, winner and attendee – we can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you put in!

Happiest Kitchen Award: Cranberry Academy – Jackie Johnson & Chris Copeland
Cypad Mentors: Laura Stewart, Julie Poole, Linda Burd, Susan Tait, Lisa Hepting, Jonathan Oakley, Jackie Laffey, Ali Williams, Wendy Leslie & Gill Jervis
Attendance Awards: An amazing 130 staff members had 100% attendance with us this year! A massive well done to you all!
Supplier of the Year: Littlers Butchers – Darren & Sarah Shephard
Above and beyond award: Carrie Bryan & Jacqui Hayward – Carrie & Jacqui are Cheshire East Catering’s Quality Assurance Supervisors and have gone above and beyond their job description to ensure our schools and kitchens are happy with their service – they are great assets to Cheshire East.
